Source-to-Action Starter Checklist

A practical five-check aid for structured documentary work. Print this page or use your browser Print function to save it as a PDF.

Illustrative administrative guidance; not a legal opinion or professional decision aid.

1 · Confirm scope and authority

Record the project identifier, agreed task, authorised source set, intended recipient, output and who retains professional sign-off.

2 · Register each source

Capture file name, source owner, version, effective date, page or clause reference and whether any expected papers are missing.

3 · Trace each relevant fact

Link every material item in the output to the source and page. Separate source statements from assumptions, contradictions and unknowns.

4 · Assign exceptions

Describe gaps or conflicts neutrally, record required follow-up, the responsible reviewer and a next-review date. Do not infer missing evidence.

5 · Check and hand over

Check document versions, references, recipient, required approvals, outstanding questions and the status of the final version.
